Ecological pollution caused by impact of industrial activity may always be a risk for human health as well as for components of the environment. Process of repairing old ecological pollution represents a complex issue covering technological solutions related to remedial measures as well as a methodical, economic and control management of the remedial measures process. Czech republic can offer a long-term expertise in this field; the current project of Czech Development Agency is aiming to capacitate the “Privatization Agency of Kosovo“ that is managing the Mitrovica Industrial Park.

Other stakeholders such as Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planing, Ministry of Economy and Finance, the town of Mitrovica and the Regional Environmental Center for CEE Office in Kosovo are also targeted as participants at the trainings provided within the project. The training program will include a complete introduction to the issue at hand and will be composed of a series of training workshops dealing with organization and assessment of pollution examinations, evaluation of health risks and environment risks due to the ecological pollution, realization of remedial measures including information on financing remedial measures, etc.
